Applied Data Science and Deep Learning Projects

This experience is designed for learners in a data science program who are developing skills in Python programming, statistical analysis, and machine learning, with a focus on deep learning techniques. As learners progress through the course, they will apply their knowledge to real-world projects, collaborating with industry professionals to address specific data challenges. This collaboration allows learners to gain practical experience while providing companies with innovative solutions and insights derived from data-driven methodologies. Through this collaboration, learners will engage with authentic problems that emphasize planning, design, and implementation using data-driven methodologies. This approach not only reinforces core data science fundamentals, but also provides a quality product to the client. Student Skills & Technologies : · Programming: Python (primary), some R · Databases: SQL and NoSQL (same as CS students) · Data Skills: Statistical analysis, data analytics, machine learning fundamentals · Deep Learning: Learned in real time in Fall, projects may include neural network classifiers such as text classification or predictors, etc.

Web Development Experience
AD 400
This experience is designed for learners who are beginning their journey in web development, ideally focusing on the React framework. As part of their web development course, students will gain hands-on experience in web and app development using the React framework. By collaborating with the industry professionals on your projects, learners will engage with real-world problems that emphasize planning, design, and implementation, while honing their skills in version control, unit testing, and software design fundamentals. All the while being able to provide a quality product to the client. Student Skills & Technologies: · Web Development: New to React (learning in real time during Fall quarter) · Programming Languages: Java (OOP focus), Python · Databases: SQL and NoSQL (including MongoDB) · Development Skills: Version control (Git), unit testing, software design fundamentals Other Notes: Students are beginners in web development and will be learning the React stack as part of the course.
